They don't need me!

I realized recently that my little chickens are really growing up! They used to love my playful antics, my dancing and my singing.  Now I think they love me but, I'm not allowed to do any of those things because it embarrasses them?  Don't they know who I am! I'm mommy, I'm fun and witty and old  40ish! Why can't they stay little, a little longer?
They just don't need me as you can clearly see Cameron below, bought his own Frap with his own B'day cash!

Sydney actually told me, "Mom please I don't want to take a picture getting on the bus!"  Cam did thank God I have twins:)
And I had to beg Jordeyn for this shot before he told me I wasn't allowed to walk to the bus stop with him, WTHeck!!!

So, this may very well be my last year of taking the 1st day of school shots:(  Now I'll have to become, Bush Mom, you know the mom that hides in the bushes so her kids won't see her taking candid shots of them without their knowledge:)

They are little for such a short time. My boys are 37 and 38...and they need me now and then to babysit, or to give cooking advice, or to listen to business ideas, but that's it. :(

Sigh...another post about children growing up. I guess I might as well face it and deal it because it's in my face in more ways than one. Now the phrase 'grasp the moment' means more to me than it ever did.

I can certainly relate. I mean our oldest child is a freaking senior and our son a freaking freshman this year. Where did the time go? I keep looking at them, not wanting the baby, but the sweet child that once was. Where is the child that allowed me to pick out their clothes and everything I picked was cute? *sighing and clapping at the same time* This is twisted.

Just threaten them with embarrassing behavior if they do not comply with the pictures.
