Roxanna Floyd-Ramos has passed away....

Roxanna Floyd-Ramos died yesterday and I find it very difficult to write.  This wedding photo above of my brother Ricky and Roxanna was taken under one of the sunniest days in Brooklyn, only 7 years ago.  They met in 87, their friendship and their love was it's own.  Their relationship unfailingly warm and full of joyful memories, sometimes easy and sometimes tough but, always theirs.  They have been locked, conjoined, enthralled tied inside an unbelievable knot of love.
As, I begin my journey north to see how I can help my brother stand through this transition, I pray that God will give me the words to say, a voice to pray, an ear to hear, and heart to be comforting and patient.

Wanda,

It is such a tremendous loss. Roxie was a remarkable woman. My heart goes out to Rick and your entire family. All of us who loved her are heartbroken. I wrote a post about her on my blog and there have been so many wonderful comments posted there as well. I thought you might like to see it.
