Let me start first with the Little League Parent fight that almost ensued the other night! So, we're at the champion tournament game Monday night (started at 6:15) Jordeyn's team had to win the first game in order to win the championship if not they had to play another game right after, it's double elimination and they had not lost a game so far. We are playing against a neighboring rival that we've beaten before. Well of course 2 hours later we lost and had to play again! So it's like 8:15 and the park lights are scheduled to go out at 11pm! The Umpires and the coaches (my hubby's an assistant) decided to make an Agreement, the game would end when the lights went out and who ever was in the lead would be the champs! Well, the lights went off at 11pm on the dot, we were in the lead and won the game!!! Then there came this wailing of complaints!!! The other teams parents lost there Little League Minds (see lady on right)!!!

Now, since I'm a Dance Mom (see Dance Factory) I graciously smiled and fabulously walked away waving, I said, "OK, Bye-Bye!" As, we drove away from this madness there was still a mob of people standing around waiting for God knows what!!!

Oh my goodness! And they say it's just a game. Yeah, right! Football season is next, so get ready; I am! Sometimes moms needs pads too!
Wowsers! Baseball is a vicious sport!
yikes, I haven't ever seen anything like that but I've heard lots of stories! Congrats on the passed tests!
Wow, some people just get way too involved. And I bet the kids were just fine with the whole thing.
You're a strong woman for just smiling and walking away...you were setting a good example for your children and the children around you. I hate to see parents acting like those other parents--their kids are going to grow up to be horrible people! I'm thinking about this situation from a guidance counselor point of view--I DREAD parents like that, but unfortunately they're out there! And the thing is that I think I do a better job with the kids of parents who are nice, not the ones who try to bully me into doing what they want, not because I'm trying to be defiant, but because I'm much more likely to do a better job when I'm relaxed and happy than when I'm tense and trying to please angry people!
While I'm sure it sucks to see your kids lose a big game, it's also important for kids to learn how to lose gracefully. They can't always get what they want, and I think it's wrong to try to make them think that they can.
Wow, I'm really stepping up on a soapbox here, and I'm sorry to do this on a blog, but situations like this just burn my cookies. I hope it all turned out ok!
Hi, just stopping through to let you know I left a little something for you at my place!
I cannot believe that the parents were acting like that. Actually, I guess I can based on how "important" it is to win a little league game. It is a game people! Our children learn from our actions. Grow up!
Uh...haven't heard from you in a while. It's time for a new post! Hope all is well.
