Story #1 Princess and the Pee?

Happy Monday:) Ok, so much has happened over the past week or so, I decided to post a series of short stories about all of my encounters and experiences:

Story #1 Princess and the Pee?
About 2 weeks ago I got peed on by this cute little 3 year old kid, 3rd from your right, see her? Let me explain. You see I'm a Dance Mom, now what that means is I have a daughter who competes in dance competitions, it's a wonderful opportunity and my daughter is very blessed to be apart of The Dance Factory! I will do a post on The Dance Factory very soon:) Anyhew, as a dance mom we volunteer each year to help out at our annual dance recital. This show is for all of the recreational kids (kids that do not compete) and for the little ones (potty trained no pullups) to perform for the first time on stage! This year I was given the 3 year old group and I was ready with open arms for this challenge. Until, I realized that it only takes 1 or 2 of these little ones to make you wanna have a cocktail early:)

Egypt, this lovely little apple, angrily peed on me while I was trying to sing "I'm a little Tea Pot!" She was crying for Nanna and I felt bad so, I did a no no, I picked her up sat her on my lap and started singing. She kept screaming and I kept rocking and then my lap got hot and wet! In shock I pulled her away from me and gasped, she looked at me horrified and screamed! I tried to change the utter shock, pressed against my face but, it was to late Egypt wailed! However, I'm a dance mom, I picked her up, stepped over the pea puddle and with the help of some other professional dance moms we cleaned her up. That day I was officially christened a Dance Mom for life!!! Here is Miss. Egypt cleaned up and smiling:)

I guess I'm going to have to deal with that stuff sooner or later, but I'm certainly not going to like it!

this reminds me of my own little dance story...I took a beginner's tap dancing class a few years ago (yeah, I was like 28 years old and in my first tap class!) and I was a helper for the recital. I had to take a little girl from one stage door to the opposite stage door so she could make her entrance for the next dance she was in (which was the very next song!) and it was a LONG walk, so I ended up piggy backing her in a dead sprint! Thankfully, I didn't get peed on!

LOL Circular Logic:) No hot wet pee on your back would have been horrific. I didn't think of piggy backing them off that stage. I had 25 of them so that probably would have been to much for me:)

That's why I leave volunteering with children to my wife.

Well, at least you just got peed on. You could have my poo story to share...But now you are one of us, the few, the proud, the "put upon."

Oh no! I commend you for keeping your composure and not throwing the little darling against the wall!

You handled that like you were a pro. I honestly don't know what I would have done, but let's just say, "In the name of Jesus...." would have been my opening remarks.

LOL, this was a funny story - reminds me of all the times my boys p'd on me when they were babies! I'd rather be p'd on than barf'd on and sadly I can say I have experienced both more times than I can count!

Being christened with bodily fluids is a rite of passage for motherhood. . .from pee to poop to vomit to snot. . .I've done it all! But you, my friend handled yourself and the little one exceptionally well! Bravo to you!

LOL! You'll have to start packing yourself a change of clothes :)

Yipes! That poor girl, but most of all, poor you! You handled it very well though! I might have pushed her to the floor in shock.

This sounds like the bizarre things that happen to me! You handled it way better than I would have though. I'm spastic.

She's incredibly cute. But I still would NOT want to be peed on. I can't ever envision it happening since I'm not having kids, but you seemed to have handled it quite well.
