No One Ever Asked Me

Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop has once again given me something to write about:)  The prompt this Thursday that I chose was (drum roll!!)

#5:Why didn’t they ask you? Write a list of 5 or 10 sentences that begin with the words ‘No one ever asked me’; then, write about one of them in detail, or use them all in a poem, or use several in a personal description of yourself.

Funny this morning I had a whole other post, this afternoon I have a poem......I chose to make it a personal depiction of my past:)

No one ever asked me:
Why I could not soar inside who I wanted to be
Why so much solitude upstairs in the attic
Why the men you pick, why the drugs you did
Why don’t you talk to me about your darkness
Why run away when you can stay... here
Why care about what color you are and
Why do you want to know who God is
No one ever asked me
