I think my husband used to do that, too (he grew up in Pass Christian, Mississippi), but he's become quite the techie and, sadly, a lot of our time these days is spent indoors. I always complain to my hubby that they have way too much external stimulation. I want them to learn how to find ways to entertain themselves the way I did with my friends growing up in NY, outside. I even call out games to them that they can play. Hide and go seek, kick the can, hop scotch, 7up, lots of different games. She told all 4 of us girls to pee before we went out because we weren't coming back in and then she gave us a jug of ice water (the jug that once held milk). My sisters and I sat under the shade tree, played school, pretended we were cheerleaders and so much other stuff we even made up. The play without the gadgets makes it more fun.QueenBeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04460333532281245829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3242422243506091897.post-31497593564654236622009-07-18T14:26:31.463-04:002009-07-18T14:26:31.463-04:00Your kids are beautiful!
